After graduating from Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) with a B.A. in Intercultural Studies and nearly 2 years of experience as a Volunteer Coordinator at PBA, Grant Rowlette is ready to take the next steps in his career. Grant has been interested in living and working overseas since he was a boy, and developed a passion for international development projects in college. In his professional role at PBA, he had opportunities to network with several non-profits and charities in the South Florida area and led projects to get college students interested in serving their community.
On the horizon: Pursuing a Master's in International Relations at Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) in Oskemen, Kazakhstan in the spring. Grant is excited by the opportunities this program will give him to connect with other students from all over the globe and the doors it will open to further pursuing a career in international development in Central Asia. He hopes to draw from what he learned at PBA to create invitational volunteer service programs in emerging nations.
As a Florida native, Grant is only a little nervous about the near-Siberian winters he'll soon face. He loves playing guitar, talking philosophy, just about anything that gets him outside, and spending too much time exploring Google Earth.
